(Fringilla Teidea) This is an endemic species of the pine forests of Tenerife and is considered, according to a law of the Canary Islands Government, as an animal symbol of the island together with the dragon tree as a plant symbol. The Chaffinch is present on all the islands, but with different subspecies on each one.
